Why you should play it: Describing Child of Eden as an on-rails shooter is at once factually correct and woefully inadequate. Conjured up by Tetsuya Mizuguchi, the mind that created Rez, Child of Eden exquisitely blends myriad explosions of digital colour with a soundtrack that is occasionally so heavy you can feel in your belly. Billed as a Kinect poster-child it was criminally overlooked by the joypad-faithful masses. It offers a rich experience via every control scheme.
What the web said: “Child Of Eden is a convincing example of how motion control can breathe new life into a niche genre ... It’s a delirious, intoxicating and sometimes cruel world that’s well worth the trip.” 8/10 – Edge
